our dream

a world with doors wide open for young Women of Color

Our mentors, workshops, curricula and leadership development programs open doors for chicas to step into their futures empowered with skills, networks, self-confidence—and JOY. Our movement of women helping women shapes not just these chicas’ lives, but their communities, our country and our world.

at Chica Project, it is our mission to inspire all chicas to see and be who they can be

We are working towards a world where women, girls, and all people experiencing oppression at the intersection of race, ethnicity, and gender have the opportunity to rise to their full potential. We seek to inspire chicas to practice self love, gain financial freedom, access education, expand their social capital and build political power. We show you the possibilities when you have a team and mentors that look like you.

constantly changing, constantly growing

We’ve been working toward our dream for over a decade now. As time changes, so do we. Chica Project recognizes the need to constantly grow in order to meet the ever-changing needs of our chicas and communities. That’s why we’ve launched our Strategic Plan for 2023-2026 with the goal of reflecting and evolving upon our mission, vision and values. Journey with us as we take these next steps!

Thank you to Transformation Collective for helping us bring our Strategic Plan to life!
