How We Work with Chicas

CHICAS IN BLOOM PROGRAM

We recognize and embrace the multiple facets of our cultures and the daily challenges young women face. Our 3-month curriculum brings together groups of 15-25 participants to explore their identities, build community, and gain tools to navigate obstacles related to education, financial stability, social capital, and political power—inspiring them to become leaders in their personal lives, schools, and communities. Chicas in Bloom is offered, on-site, at Boston Public Schools and other community locations. Interested in bringing CIB to your site? Fill out the Partnership Form below.

CHICAS CONNECT PROGRAM

We create a vibrant community of Chica Project alumni, mentors, peer leaders, staff, interns, and fellows committed to fostering lifelong connections and professional growth. Through networking gatherings, professional development courses, mentorship partnerships, advocacy, and fundraising initiatives, we empower our community to thrive personally and professionally while giving back to Chica Project and society at large. Currently recruiting for our Alumni Council. To express interest or apply, email [email protected].

CHICAS PEER LEADER PROGRAM

We empower peer leaders to create and co-lead dynamic sessions that help chicas level up their skills in decision-making, teamwork, and compassion. By exercising their leadership, peer leaders learn to take up space, break out of their shells, and challenge harmful social constructs, while inspiring their peers to do the same. Peer Leader applications for 2026-27 open in Summer 2026.

CHICAS MENTORING PROGRAM

We foster meaningful engagements and long-standing relationships between chicas and industry leaders of diverse backgrounds. Our intergenerational and multifaceted mentors support and uplift middle and high school chicas, helping them build confidence, develop leadership skills, and prepare them for a future in leadership.
